The sleeves are finished. Now I only need to sew them into the armscyes, fell the seams and iron the dress.
Have I read my dissertation again? Errhm, no, not so much.

I dreamt last night that I attended some kind of Medieval festival, and had a beautiful green wool dress. It was very pretty, and I was quite surprised that I had no recollection of making it. I'm sure you are to blame for that dream. ;-D

Iäm sure your dress will be lovely.

Well, you've lived with it for what, four years? I'm sure it'll all be fine! And just in case: Good luck.
I saw your book at Handelsgillets site today, by the way. It looks very nice!

A while back you were discussing a back sling for infants. Do you have a pattern for one of these, I'm thinking that it would come in very handy for many of my friends and my sisters.

Thankyou!

Not so much a pattern. Mine is a piece of fabric 70 X 550 cm. If you're slimmer than me you don't need a quite so long wrap. You need ot be two persons to put it on on the back. At least we need to be two people, I've seen it done by one person. The person who is going to carry the child bends over and then you place the child on the back, hands on your shoulders. You lay the middle of the fabric over the child's back and bum and pull it over your shoulders, creating a little bag for him/her to hang in. You will have to pull more in the upper end of the fabric than in the lower end which is holding the bum. Then you cross them over you chest with a half knot and pull them back, over the child's legs; try to spread the fabric as wide as possible over your side and his/her back, then under the child's leg on the opposite side, before pulling them forward and tying them.
It is most comfortable for both parent and child if it's firmly tied. Your back is also happiest if she/he sits rather high up. Then he/she can also look over your shoulders as you walk.
