I hate my upstairs neighbours

The upstairs neighbours had a party tonight again. I think it got quieter around two, that's at least when I finally fell asleep. Rickard was up and talked to them twice, but if anything they got even louder.
This is the third party in two weeks. Last week it was thursday and Saturday and now yesterday. Rickard had been up since six, I had been up since seven. I lay there, just hating them and being sad and anxious about not getting enough sleep.
They usually have a party at least once every four weeks, sometimes every second week and in the summer sometimes every week, but this is really getting too much.
And what kind of idiot continues to walk around in heels indoors and drag furniture around, as well as yelling, at 1.30pm after your neighbours have complained twice.
I think I will have to talk to the landlord. I have avoided doing it, I'm not the kind of person who complains every time someone has a party, but this is just too often!

That's not good. And you're entirely right to complain - the (very) occassional party is something that it's reasonable to expect neighbours to put up with. That level of noise, that late, and that frequently - not acceptable.

After you've tried talking to the people several times, you are absolutely right to go to the landlord. I think there is also something called "störningsjouren" that you can call, especially if they're partying mid-week.

OH! I can totally sympathise. My upstairs neighbors got to bed about 2-3am and usually have VERY loud sex before hand. You can't really complain about people having loud sex, but partys you sure can! I hate complaining on my neighbors like you do, but they SHOULD be more considerate, especially after you complained to them TWICE!

I hate our upstairs neighbours too. They have parties about once a fortnight, and last Friday (I worked on Saturday) apparently their guests were pissed enough to throw up on another neighbour's door on their way home. It almost makes me miss the former upstairs neighbour, who had very loud coughing fits for about two years... Your neighbours seem worse though, that is really often to have parties! Once a month I think is rather reasonable.
