I am so spamming my f-list with pictures of my kids today. But now that I have finished Valeria's hand sewn shift (never mind that the photo is taken before it was hemmed) and made her try it on with her surcoat I had to show pictures. You see, don't you?
The shift is from linen. I wanted white of course, but they only had this minty/unbleached linen colour and lots of stronger colours when I went fabric shopping some weeks ago. It's a nice, even and thin twill. Over the shift she will wear a black wool Herjolfsnes cotte, when I have sewn it, and then this surcoat, which is made from one of mine that wouldn't fit me anymore.
