Horrible autumn

I hate this autumn. The darkness usually doesn't affect me much, but this year it does. I guess it's because I have been ill for so long, and I'm still not well enough to walk much, or indeed at all, I just do it anyway.
But I don't feel like doing anything; not sewing, not reading, not working. And contrary to other people I don't look forward to christmas at all. It just seems like a lot of work and a waste of time, when I really need to get going on writing my application for research grants. But then I have to read lots of books first, and I don't feel like reading.
And Rickard is being snappy at me.

I have a light therapy lamp by my head that goes on in the morning. It's what helps me wake up at all.

Although given I'm not much better off than you right now - the darkness hits me hard - I'm not sure what use I'd be.

at least it is only less than a month left until everything turns and starts to get lighter!

i just desperately long for the spring term to start and i can indulge myself in textiles, testiles and more of some textiles...

If it's any comfort I'm not into xmas either. You know the sketch "mormor gråter"? Well, that's a lot like most xmases was when I was growing up. Hence xmas and all that it implies just makes me feel uncomfortable.
I've even decided with my husband that we'll eat taco on xmas day just to avoid any xmasyness. :)

I like a traditional christmas, and I had wonderful chrismases as a kid; but at the same time it's lots of work.
