The jacket is finished

The jacket is finished and looks mighty good if I may say so myself. Hopefully we can take some pictures tomorrow. What I should do is either to make a mock-up for my trouser skirt or repair the roof of the pavillion. What I want to do is to make a new effigy corset, one which is narrower in the bust so that my purple dress will fit me again. My old corset, from back in 2002 when this dress was made is worn out and my newer ones have too large bust measurements. I'm thinking about wearing that dress to the Winter Games.
I really want to make a hand sewn effigy corset from hand woven linen and boned with reeds, but first of all I plan to loose some weight, and secondly that will take more time to finish than I have before the winter games. But one can never have too many effigy corsets, right sarahbellem?

No such thing as TOO MANY effigy corsets! Of course, I keep changing sizes so that necessitates the multitude of corsets I have in my wardrobe... ;)

Yeah, I went to try on my only corset and discovered I'd gained enough around my rib cage that I couldn't even fasten the thing! (Wish I knew where the weight went - certainly not in my breasts!) So it's time for another corset. I'm thinkin' effigy this time. And it's all your fault. :)

More realistically, though, I want to finish the victorian corset I'm making so I can wear it on friday night.

Well, that is of course my reason too. I have gotten thinner, than fatter, but not fat enough for the first corset, and now I plan to loose weight again. I am considering making a back laced corset instead so it will have a little more flexibility in size.
