Just to avoid doing any serious work I'm posting a picture of my newly arranged work space in a corner of the bedroom. With a cat.

The red boxes is where I keep underwear and some of my socks. This replaces my old chest of drawers that stood there and now blcoks teh way to the wondow, but my sister will pick it up as sson as she can get hold of a car big enought to take it. In the bottom shelf my sewing machine and two boxes with ribbons, buttons and other such stuff is placed. The folders are most of my work folders, I think five remain. On top there's a bag with old sheets to use for toiles and a pile of mending projects.
And then there's the Grand Sophy, the ironing board and iron and Mysko, our cat. I don't really have anywhere to put the sewing machine now, but I use it so rarely now that I can sit by the kitchen table when I want to.

I like seeing how other people live :) Is that an Ivar shelf on the right?

My sewing machines live in the "dining"room, on the bottom shelf of an Ivar shelf, together with my box of sewing tools (the old fashion wooden kind that folds out). There is space for some big boxes with fabric underneath. Perhaps we should all take a picture of our sewing space.

Oh yes, Ivar.
My sewing space is mainly my armchair in the living room, since most of the stuff I do nowadays is hand sewn.

Oh, I'm so jealous! We're pressed for space in our current place, so my sewing area is an end table crammed with my machine and a plastic tub of odds and ends, a wire rack with fabric drawers (between the sofa and the patio doors) and fabric/supplies stored in random plastic tubs in the spare room.

I've already laid dibs on a bedroom when we move to a bigger place :D

When you come to our place you will see how cramped it really is.

I love your desk. But isn't it supposed to have a wall on the opposite end instead? BUt it's wonderful!

Hi,
I think its a little like i have it. I have my dress form in the livingroom, so does my sewing machine, and all the other stuff i have. Besides my small working table, very small, i have stabled all my fabrics in a corner. All my shelves are filled with boxes for embroidery threads, and like that it is.
We live in a very small apartment, but we are so lucky, its very cheap and we are two mean to move to a bigger and more expensive place :-)

How cool to see your workspace. And a view out the window! It makes you seem so alive. I'm thinking I can spend some time in my work room and post a picture too!
