Yummy, yummy fabric

My navy/forest green shot silk taffeta from Denverfabrics arrived today. It is lovely, dark and subtle, and it will look wonderful with my colouring. Of course, with the 1950s kick I'm on, I'm tempted to make a 1950s-inspired mundane ball gown instead of a 16th century kirtle, but let's face it: I would never wear such agown, while a good 16th century kirtle will be worn many times.
