Amusing the neighbours
Jun. 15th, 2007 01:41 pmOr I would, if they would only come and pick up their finished laundry. You see, I am currently doing my laundry wearing what you see in my userpic. I need to make a toile for the kirtle and I decided it would take too much time to lace myself into the stays and out, and then in again just to go to the laundry room (which, as is the common practice in Sweden, is a room with washing machines and tumble dryers that all the tenants in the house can use. You just have to book a time, here they are four hours. Our laundry room has four machines and you book two at a time, so there is someone else doing their laundry at the same time.) and take care of my clothes. It also gives good practice in working in fully boned stays ;)
but I feel funny. Sewing and cooking in stays I've done before, and I understand it's pretty common, but going out to semi-public places in your stays is a little different. I did throw on a large t-shirt to hide the cleavage.

Date: 2007-06-15 01:46 pm (UTC)Luckily, the lowermost apartments in the back building share a washing machine in the basement, it is actually in the original laundry room, and we could also use that.
We don't book time, but I'm usually the first home in the afternoon, so I mostly win.
