camele0pard challenged us all to post the earliest possible SCA-pics of ourselves. Well, I can't go further back than 1995, because since I didn't have a camera I don't have any photos from my first two years (I know Lady Iona took some at our event in Varberg back in 1993, but I don't think I've ever seen them). Anyway, here's a photo from my second Visby medieval week, 1995. I think it's Vendela I'm carrying, but I'm not sure.

The shift, veil and chinband are all cotton and the dress is linen.
Now it's
your turn!

Date: 2007-11-01 02:04 pm (UTC)Here is a picture of me from autumn 1995 (with my then partner) in a classic cotton struthette which I borrowed, and a classic army blanket which I had made into a cloak. If you look closely on the left side, you can even see a red spot. That is part of the letter H, for HÆREN, which was painted onto the blanket. Also, note the rust on the segmentata. This was in the Eocambrian age.

Date: 2007-11-01 05:46 pm (UTC)This is really fuzzy, as it's a detail from the background of a Very Old Picture--from January, 1974 (West Kingdom Twelfth Night, A.S. VIII)--but I'm pretty sure it's the oldest remaining picture of the SCA me. I spent months and months doing the pearling on that gown, and you can't even see it in the picture!
