frualeydisI'm very very bored right now. My husband is away war-gaming and has been away all day. I've got a cold that makes me very tired and I don't feel like doing anything. I might have a temperature too. My dear Anna is having exams so she can't be here.
I finished one sleeve on my Herjolfsnes dress but I don't like the way it looks from the back. the sleeves are too short also so I'll have to attach a piece at the bottom of them. I can live with that but I really don't like the way the sleeve or rather the shoulder area look from behind. But I've already taken that seam apart once and I don't want to do it again. Especially not after I've whip stitched the edges down. Picking up hand sewn seams is so much more work than picking up machine seams. Probably I'll learn to live with that too.
I'm considering starting on the red wool 12th century dress I mentioned in my sewing list earlier. It will be put together by machine which would be nice for a change. To get all the boring construction seams done fast so I can start hemming, making lacing holes etc, which I like much better.
Sigh
Or I'll just go back to reading my third harlequin novel today.I wish Rickard would come home.
