frualeydisI really, really hate marking and sewing boning channels on machine. Other people may hate making all the hand sewn eyelets or binding the stays by hand, but for me that's the reasonably fun and relaxing part.
I have now reached the stage ion my new stays when I have finished all the boring machine stitching and can start on the lacing holes - except that I have promised the big girls to make sponge cake first.
I hope I have some fitting buttonhole silk, otherwise I will have to sit down and unpick seams on the petticoat/forepart until I can get some tomorrow. I will have to go downtown to get some ribbon to bind it with tomorrow anyway.
