Ready for the event
Mar. 28th, 2008 05:19 pmNot only did I finish the green jerkin (a doublet without sleeves is a jerkin, or am I totally wrong?) but I also actually put ties in various sleeves and stitched the ruffs to sleeves and collar respectively. This will no doubt make my life much easier tomorrow when I'm going to get dressed, first for the day and then for the feast. Everything is front-closed, but tying sleeves to kirtles or bodices and fixing ruffs always takes more time than planned.
Everyting is packed too. The only thing I won't have time to do is buy something to drink; maybe I will go out early tomorrow to do that. Or not.
armillary is coming by to pick up my stuff so that I won't have to carry it on the bus myself tomorrow. Because he's one of the sweetest persons I know.
The reason I won't go out to the event today is that one of the PhD-students defended her dissertation today and tonight there's a party to celebrate the new doctor.
Oh, almost forgot: A photo of said jerkin. The ruffs are just put there for the photo and tomorrow I will wear red sleeves. And headwear.
