Thanks for posting this; it's very cool!

Is that a selvedge, or a starting/closing border?

And I see the graph has an uneven number of warp threads (six on the left of the cut, seven on the right). Is that a mistake, I wonder? I don't think I've ever seen one that isn't symmetrical.

I think it's a mistake on the graf, I think I would have remembered if she had said anything about it being uneven. The tablet woven edge is the starting border, if I recall her presentation correctly. She was presenting a lot of statistics and this was mainly an illustration, so she didn't say that much about it.

Out of curiosity, was the presentation by Rūta Beganskaitė? She's written a few other articles on other finds from Lazdininkai, although I'm not sure about textiles.

No, it was by Elvyra Pečeliunaite-Bažiene.

The publication btw has to be printed this year due to financial reasons, so it will hopefully be finished soon.
