New shoes

I bought these today. They're from Remonte and I can use them with my special soles.



I think they look enough like 16th century shoes to be worn when I have to walk a lot and need the extra support.

No. Well, they are one centimetre higher in the back than in the front, but no heels.

I have Arcopedico shoes in black that look fairly OK, but I' afraid the soles are too thick to work for 16th C. Are yours thinner?

No, not really, but if I have to choose between achy feet and period correctness I will at least sometimes choose to take care of my feet. Beside, in most of my garb you don't see much of the shoes.

Yeah, same here. I need orthopaedic inserts(?) in my shoes, or the left one starts hurting like hell if I walk further than the local supermarket. :\

Then I'll actually consider using my shoes.
