frualeydis: (18th century)
[personal profile] frualeydis
I'm still feeling rather ill, so I spend most of my time either lying down resting or sewing at a slow pace. The latter means that what needs to be done on the 18th century coat is the button holes and buttons. I could wear it open for the masquerade so I think I will start decorating the hat instead. In fact I may have to wear it open, since I calculated too little ease when I cut the pieces after the toile. It may work out, and maybe not, but since I weigh 2-3 kilos more than I did in the beginning of the autumn I don't see this as a problem that can't be overcome; I will probably lose them again in the spring and then the coat will be looser too.
The pocket flaps look good.
