Skating

There is now a central ice rink in Göteborg and I have been down there skating twice: last Sunday and this afternoon. I used to skate a lot as a kid, nothing organized, but just because we lived close to an ice rink. Of course then it was natural ice, so it depended on the weather, but there was a period of very cold winters in the latter half of the 70s and first half of the 80s. Since the late 80s I have maybe skated three times, so I am a little rusty. I'm getting better though, and today when we didn't have Maja with us I got more chance to practice. We skated for a little over an hour and then I walked home, since I just missed the bus, so now I'm cold and a little sore - but if I didn't have to work I'd do it again tomorrow.

Fun! I might go skating this weekend too! Have only been once this season. It helps so much that I have bought harder skates last season. I can't do any tricks yet, though, and I notice my right side is very dominant when I try to do some moves. it is especially fun that solbirger has switched to figure skating skates, so we can learn together.
