I actually changed my mind and managed not only to put a brown velvet guard on my loose gown (pictures on the web site will be coming later) to make it longer and open the loose kirtle in the sides to facilitate nursing, I actually also made Maja a renaissance dress, based on Holbein's portrait of his family. The dress was started at 8pm on friday and finished (hooks and eyes sewn) on the bus to the event on saturday morning. Here you can see us together. And yes, there's a brown thread from the bonnet hanging down in my face, very annoying.

Edit: Both merastra and my friend Sara were kind enough to take away the thread in photoshop and send it to me. It's great to have friends :)

Oh I love that picture! A little Photoshop could get rid of that thread.

I know, but I have no idea how to do anything like that.
And I love your icon.

*That* is a wonderful picture! :-) Wonderful to get both of you looking so happy.

There's a no thread version here if you want to snarf it. I'll delete it as soon as you're done.
