Well, not really perfect, but my buttonholes are so much better now. I've just finished the buttonholes and attached the sleeves on my pinkish red cotte. Both the top fabric and the lining are thin wool tabbies which are prone to fraying but by being very careful I managed to make at least decent buttonholes. So now all I need to do is sew the buttons and then let the whole thing hang for a week before I put in the lining for the body of the dress. I want it to stretch before I sew it together so I don't get any nasty surprises.
But I can already see that this is going to be one of my favourite dresses because it looks so good on me. There's something about the way the fabric falls that makes me look thinner and the colour is just right.

Maja slept very badly this night and consequently so did I, but hopefully I will get enough sleep tomorrow. And tonight is choir night, which I look forward to.
