[livejournal.com profile] guyelfkin took this test so of course I had to follow.
You scored as Middle Class. You're content in your position and would prefer a house or a family than a seven figure pay cheque. But you have your moments of weakness when you buy a lottery ticket in the hope of knowing how the rich and famous live.

At least "alternative" comes second. Actually, it's pretty much how I would describe myself, a revolutionary who has become an adult and also started class-climbing.

I got a very predictable result.

I Am Not A Trickster
</td>
Well... you're not exactly the trickster type. Not that you don't have a sense of humor, you're just not the instigator of the hijinks most of the time. Don't feel bad - every trickster needs a straight man, and you're just the right one for the part.

PS: Everyone has that dream.

"The problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about each other.

I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.

Ask away. Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you."

This could be interesting.

Love me!

I got this from [livejournal.com profile] jauncourt. And Teddy and Sarah; since you had commented on her journal I have written stuff I love about you there.

1. Tell me one thing you love about me.
2. Tell me two things you love about yourself.
3. Look through the comments… when you see someone you know, tell them three things you love about them.
4. Do this in your journal so I can tell you what I love about YOU.

Time enough for love
You belong in Time Enough For Love. You are older
than you look. Your wit and wisdom are prized
by others. People throw themselves on you,
begging to be with you.

Which Heinlein Book Should You Have Been A Character In?
brought to you by Quizilla

[livejournal.com profile] liadethornegge had this test in her journal and since I'm a total Robert Heinlein-nut I had to do it. And what do we end up with? One of the all-time favourites.

Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] marymont I did this test
Ravenclaw
You are a RAVENCLAW!

As a Ravenclaw and as an NTJ, you are intellectual,
independent, and value excellence in yourself
and others. You are naturally curious, and can
usually see many sides to the same argument or
issue. You are driven to acquire knowledge and
set very high standards for yourself and
others. You excel at and enjoy strategizing,
planning, and focusing on the big picture. You
enjoy being challenged, and can accept
constructive criticism without taking it
personally. You are excellent at organizing
yourself and others.

You are a Silmaril
You are a Silmaril! You are a beatiful person
inside and out, and all adore you. You are very
important to many people, and though trouble
seems to follow you wherever you go, it is not
always your fault. You love the beauty of the
heavens and bright up everyone's day. You are
the center of attention, and not many people
ever dislike you. All in all you are a
beautiful person who is true to yourself.

Very flattering, but I must say that the spelling in that test was appallingly bad.

Since I have asked jauncourt 3 questions and am trying to find some good questions for marymont I am now ready to answer your questions.

I want everyone who reads this to ask me 3 questions, no more no less. Ask me anything you want. Then I want you to go to your journal, copy and paste this allowing your friends (including myself) to ask you anything.

You are a MASTER of the English language!

While your English is not exactly perfect,
you are still more grammatically correct than
just about every American. Still, there is
always room for improvement...

The Sex Pistols
Old school punk! You just say what you have to say
regardless of what everyone else thinks!
You're one of my most favourite types of
music... You're raw and uncut! You're
surrounded by hype...just don't let it make you
go insane...

What genre of rock are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

I guess I can live with that, 'though I'm more of an "old punk" than an "old school punk". But it doesn't really fit with my records with 40s jazz, early music, british heavy metal from the 80s (not that I ever listen to that anymore), folk and the massive amount of "The Church".
But "the Clash" probably is the best rock band ever.

After seeing ysabelot do this I wanted to do it too (oh yes, I'm an independent person who make my own unique decisions ;))
Don't be fooled by the map, I've never been to Greenland, the reason it's coloured is that it belongs to Denmark, where I've been.

or write about it on the open travel guide

Yesterday a colleague defended her doctoral dissertation and had her disputation party. It was a good party, I even danced. And not slow dancing, but dancing to "Knock on wood" with Amii Stewart and other disco songs. My hips and knees hurt a little, but there seem to be no graver damage :)

I've slept too little however, so I'm planning to sleep some more during the day.

I went to Lithiate's journal and found some quizzes. This is the result from one of them:
Robert Heinlein
Robert Heinlein wrote you - your stranger in a
strange land, you.

Which Author's Fiction are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

The thing is; Robert Heinlein is my favourite author. Always. I don't know what I would do if I had to choose between reading him and Tolkien, but I know that I would much rather meet Heinlein. Even though we have wildly different political opinions (or had, in his case) I think we really would have liked each other.
And I didn't cheat, I didn't even know he was a possible result.

Which tarot card are you?

I am not very surprised, since love is a guiding force in my life. Not the only though, since I'm fairly practical and down to earth most of the time.

I'm feeling better now that I have slept and that's good because I'm giving a lecture today: Nordic medieval social and political history 1100-1350. It's for the department of History's evening course in medieval history.
