A 1940s summer dress

I started on this dress on Tuesday night and finished it yesterday. I wanted to make something cheerful and to use some of the fabric my father has given me. The top of the dress is the same pattern as the funeral dress, but for the bottom part I used this pattern. This was all that I had of the checked fabric, for which I am very sorry because I adore the combination of pink and cadet blue, but at least I could use it as part of a dress.



The shoes are my new-ish ones from Miss L-fire.
