I've been to a conference where we discussed a project we are going to apply for money for. It's a co-operative between historians and textile crafts experts, an ethnologist, a conservator etc. To clearer define what we want to do with the project and the application the ten of us involved went to a hotel in a nearby town and talked, ate, drank and enjoyed the luxury of Leninbadet, which is a copy of a bath from St. Petersburg where Lenin used to go in the late 1910s. At least the main pool and the other parts are in the same style, but in the vaults of the 18th century cellar of this old hotel/tavern. Over the whole hotel they use old parts and furniture and there are also ca 15 000 books place everywhere and you're allowed to bring one book with you home for free. Here is the hotel's web site, with some photos from the hotel and not just the baths.

Anyway, I started out the day in my blue dress with sailor collar. I did rolls, but didn't have the time and/energy to curl the rest of my hair, so I just let it hang straight and modern. I had done the radio show I do until midnight and hadn't been home until 1 am so I wasn't the perkiest in the morning.

Before dinner I had half an hour to get changed so I put on my red dress and curled the ends of my hair with a curling iron while having a glass of red wine.
This the hair:

And me on the bed in my hotel room.

Both photos are taken after dinner, so I've eaten most of my lipstick. After this I took out the hair pins and flower and went to the bath.

I like that the photo behind you when you are sitting has a woman in a similar red dress dancing.

And I didn't even notice. Yes, that's nice.

That's such a cool bath! If I ever find myself in Varberg I really must go there.
