Another girl in the world

As I said in my previous post I went to my friend who was going to have her baby. It was a home delivery without a midwife present. I got there by 10.30 and 11.10 the baby was born. My friend Carin was absolutely fantastic. Focused on opening up she calmly gave birth to a baby girl. All the while, while she was standing on her knees leaning on her bed, her 15 months old daughter Cajsa was sleeping in the bed, only waking up when there was 15 minutes left. Maja was sitting on the floor most of the time talking to us while I and Mikaela held Carin and the father helped the baby out. She was a little blue and had some meconium on her but she soon got a fresh rosy colour and suckled her mum within half an hour. The placenta came out fine and looked whole and after a while the bleeding was down to "normal menstruation". I and Mikaela stayed until Carin had taken a shower and they had ordered home delivery pizza.
Now I'm home and Anna and Kristian are making indian food in my kitchen. On my way home I felt really bad and I realized I hadn't eaten for seven hours and hadn't had very much breakfast either. Now I've had some instant noodles so I feel much better.
