When I had made my yellow jacket this spring I decided to make a matching skirt from the rest of the fabric. For various reasons, such as work, illness and more interesting sewing projects (and not having any lining fabric) it didn't get finished until today.

That looks very nice on you, and I'm not a huge fan of yellow.

Thanks! I am, but most yellows don't look good on me.

I love it! That makes a great suit.

I thought of you when I went shoe shopping today. A lot of the stores around here seem to have 40s-inspired jackets in their fall line-ups.

I love it! The black sailor hat is so cute, too! Is the pattern your own, or did you use a vintage one?

The jacket started as a '40s dress pattern that I won in a blog give away. It is much modified to fit my curvier body and I added the built in collar, but in essence it' a dress pattern.

Very slick! Love that polished look on you, and like [livejournal.com profile] snowywolfolw said, I'm not even a fan of yellow.
