I'm knitting a cardigan

The more I sew, the more picky I get and right now I am so thoroughly annoyed with the fact that you really can't find a cardigan that actually stops at the waist, or an inch below at most, or where the shoulders fit me and the sleeves aren't too narrow and too long. So I have started on a cardigan. Anna has helped me with the pattern, it's modeled a littel on a cardigan that she designed for herself and I use wool yarn and 2,5 mm needles. I started yesterday when I was on a bus trip with some of my students, to look at textile museums and 200 years old houses - you can see photos here. Today I was in too much pain to do any real thinking, so I knit the intarsia part, where the pattern is taken from one of my 1940s knitting books.
