frualeydis: (may)
[personal profile] frualeydis
Yesterday I went to a hobby store in another part of town to  buy some wood strips and balsa wood. The strips were to make windows and tas laths on the outside of the house. Later that afternoon my sis and her family came over to collect some clothes that are too small for Maja and to give me yellow paint that was left over from when they remade the eldest daughter's room. I was going to use it on the outside of the house. Yesterday I glued the laths to the house and made the window, plus some other stuff and today it was finally time to glue the stairs in place and to paint the outside walls. I have also done some other stuff during the week, as you can see from the photos.

I love the banister, how did you make it curved like that?

Small pieces of wood strips, so it's not a smooth curve.

Looking good... looking very good! :-) I'm still amazed at how much better it looks with all the wallpaper. The molding at the bottoms of the walls is a very nice touch.
