I've been busy with an article, teaching, and with cutting a silk brocade gown for Måns, so it took a few days, but now Lilly also has a jacket. Of the same type and from the same fabric as I used to make for Valeria and Vendela when they were little. This one is a little longer than their's were though, because it's hard to find very short separating zippers.

Fab jacket!

I never seem to get around to making coats for my gang.

It helps to have a kid who wants them :)

On a side note Maja seems to be happy enough with Lilly and may not want another doll.

And I have fallen in love with Dianna Effner's Little Darlign dolls, which I am quite sure is not a good idea financially.

The Little Darlings are adorable - but smaller so more fiddly to sew for (although they use less cloth). They're still within my tolerance levels. The really tiny ones I don't like to sew for.

Yes, bigger dolls are nicer, but I just love their faces.

You know that Diana Effner sculpts bigger dolls too? Most of them are porcelain but the faces are adorable. My favourite is Jenny2: http://www.dollsyourway.com/jenny_bedtime.jpg who was made in 14" and 19" size.

{sigh!} Me too. Jenny 1 modelled clothes for the photographs in Rosemarie Ionker's pattern book "A Closet full of Dolls Clothes" (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/094262047X) which is how I discovered both Diana Effner and Helen Kish dolls.
