A shawl richer
Jan. 26th, 2005 12:00 pmI am now a poorer person when it comes to money but a much richer person clothes-wise. They had both woven and embroidered cashmere shawls. The embroidered ones were very pretty and came in beautiful colours, but since those you see in period are woven I bought one of those. They had red shawls with an allover pattern and a grey shawl with a 40 cm broad border, patterned dominantly in red, in each end. This presented a tough choice. The shawls I had seen in pictures were red, but not patterned all over. In the end I choose the grey shawl because the red was a little too warm for my colouring. It is very beautiful.

Date: 2005-01-26 10:19 am (UTC)i didn't get the grey one ply yarn today. i came home with a lovely irresistable pink yarn. so i guess i'm going to end up with a pink shawl too? was not what ihad planned. i might still change my mind and make a pink lace tunic, and thus by some grey yarn for a shawl as i had planned...
