A new Italian c 1330 gown

Well, as it's a fairly basic A-line gown I can of course wear it as a c.1330 mi.parti gown from any part of catholic Europe really, but I am wearing it the Italian way, with a tie under the bust. It is all hand sewn from thin wool.

And where do you get wool that white and that fine?

I've been looking for some that is fine enough to make petticoats for my antique porcelain doll but the only stuff I find that is fine enough is very off-white at best.

Unfortunately it is off-white, it's the flash making it look whiter.

We used to be able to get thin off-white wool from a factory outlet. Unfortunately that closed som 6-8 years ago.This fabric I got as a present from my friend and Neighbour Anna (who staid with me and Maja at your place when Maja was a year old).

Thank you! I love quirky stuff. I will go inte Florentine 15th century stuff eventually too, since I fell in love so much with Florence that it re-awakend my love for this style after a decade or two. However, since the baron and I have decided to do the period c 1200-1330 I started digging into this period in Italy instead - and wow! I really love it.
