I'm back from Double Wars and I had a wonderful time. We came home last night and since then we have been busy unpacking, mending torn clothes, etc, so Ihaven't got the energy to write about it.  I have, however, posted lots of photos over at my costuming blog, here.

When unpacking I also went through some old clothes and tried them on. This one is from 1998.

Glad to hear you had a great time!

So, are you glad that you kept your old clothes now that they fit you again, or have your clothing standards/knowledge/skills increased to the extent that you want to remake them anyway? I'm a bit ambivalent about my old stuff, and I guess it'll be a slow change-over of both clothes and accessories as finances/priorities allow.

That gown looks so sumptuous - and I don't care about the grumps who look down on the use use of cotton velvet - I've seen and handled 100% silk velvet (in Stockholm, actually, at the silk mill and museum) that looked exactly like cotton velvet (it felt diffferent, but it looked the same). so substituting cotton velvet for costume use is good enough for me, as well as more affordable and washable.

Me neither... and it would probably differ from region-to-region and country-to-country too
