I made this one in 2014, not as any kind of ritual dress, but something to wear to secular spring and summer celebrations, such as Valborgsmässoafton (May eve, which is celebrated widely in Sweden) and midsummer (likewise).

I was heavily inspired by an amazing book called "Creating body coverings" by Jean Ray Laury ("Fantastiska kläder" in Swedish), which I first found in a library in the late 1980s (it's from 1974) and fell in love with. I now own it .
The other inspiration was Britt Ekland's outfits in The Wicker man, and the late 60s-early 70s in general.
It's made from cotton broadcloth and the flowers are painted on. I've worn it for midsummer and may celebrations.

But, by now it was way too big, and taking in a bodice that much is very tricky, especially if you have painted flowers over the seams :)
So I made a new bodice, and a matching blouse.
Which makes it both more Britt-Ekland-in-the-Wicker-man-like, and more hobbit-y.

The skirt is a full circle, and now has a box pleat in the back.

Much as I liked the original version, this one is much prettier.
