Health updates
Sep. 24th, 2019 01:05 pmThere will be mentioning of female health and lady parts
On the other hand: This is the second fall semester in a row that I have had surgery and been away from work for weeks. I feel a little guilty, because it seems like it is happening all the time.
My health isn't good otherwise either: I am in a lot of pain from arthritis and from last Monday I am on 50% sick leave until my surgery.
I am alss regaining a lot of the weight that I lost tow years ago - I lost 40 kilos and have regained 21. it isn't too bad, because I probably shouldn't weigh as little as I did when I was the skinniest, but I need to lose at least ten kilos. And that is very hard when you're in pain, because you need your will power to function and have none left to also eat less calories than you burn.
There are of course also good stuff. Like my family, my cat, the SCA and sewing and other crafts. I've mainly made modern clothing lately, but I feel my inspiration for historical clothing getting back. I've also taken up water colours again, which is very nice. And the weather was great both last weekend and the weekend before that.
Now I should get back to writing on a draft for a paper for a course in pedagogical development that I am taking.
And I had a great Autumn equinox celebration.
I don't know if I wrote about that, but in May I discovered that I had a prolapsed uterus. This had caused my IUD to dislocate and I got an infection in my uterus. That was reasonably easily treated with two different antibiotics, so not much of a problem.
But the prolapse isn't much fun, it causes constant discomfort when walking. Or caused, since I got a ring for it in Augsut. However, I probably need a larger one, because it doesn't stay in place. I have, however, decided not to call my gynaecologist to get it changed, because last week I got an appointment for surgery. It will take place on the 9th of October, and on Monday I am going to see a doctor and discuss the procedure. I am looking forward to it, there is something very emotional and sensitive when those parts of your body doesn't work as they should..
