I've been a bad girl

I have now sewn the lining to Rickard's cloak. Part of it twice, because it had stretched and hung funnily. I have also started on Maja's new dress, and here's where I've been a bad girl: It is machine sewn! My initial plan was of course to hand sew it, it's not like it's a lot of work on such a small dress, but I have so many other things to do and really wanted to finish the dress early in the week so that I could do more fun things, like the corset. My second thought was to just sew the straight seams on machine and fell them by hand, but I ended up actually zig-zagging the edges!! So no I feel like a sloppy sewer! I will probably fell the seams later, maybe even this week, but I don't want them to unravel during the time.
But I have zig-zagged and sewn together the pieces for the top layer of the corset and will make the lining tonight too hopefully.

She'll have outgrown it before you can blink - why spend forever doing it all by hand when nobody's goign to be looking inside it while she's wearing it except you?
Get on with your fun stuff in clear conscience!
