linen batiste? Help!
Apr. 6th, 2005 10:57 pmI need your help. Has anybody of you seen linen batiste, either at an on line store or in London (Yes, addressing Teddy,Peronel and Bess). I'm talking really thin stuff, like fine handkerchiefs. It needn't be cheap, only cheaper than 125 $ or 66£ per yard, which is what it cost three years ago here in Sweden in the only place I've found it. It's for the shawl/neckerchief for my folk costume.

Date: 2005-04-07 01:33 am (UTC)Hmmm. Okay, for 'high quality' cloth, the place to go is Libertys of London, just off Oxford Circus. They're very much catering to the modern market, so it's anyone's guess whether they have linen, but if they do it'll probably be both good and expensive.
That's the only place that springs to mind, I'm afraid. If I find anything I'll let you know.
