Two days ago I remembered that I'm supposed to give a lecture on medieval clothing for a group in a nearby town on sunday. This had totally slipped my mind, probably due to what is "fondly" known as pre-doctorate stress syndrome which strikes a year or so before the dissertation should be finished. I just have too many things on my mind, most of them related to my research, so other things keep slipping out of my memory. it doesn't help that we decided on the date in February and I haven't heard anything from her since then. That is a bit unprofessional, not to check with the lecturer a week or a few days before, when you haven't spoken to each other for a while. I also just realized that we never decided on what they would pay me so maybe I'm wasting a working day and my free sunday for nothing.
I so need my London trip in 1 1/2 week.
