I was late to work today (not that I have an official starting time) because I wanted to try a new way of putting up my hair. I made two narrow braids at the temples and twisted the rest of the hair into a high bun. I then looped the narrow braids under my ears and wound them around the bun. It looked very 1840s, but not very attractive so I had to redo it into a normal braided bun in the neck. Sigh.
I tried on the bodice for my new 16th century kirtle on saturday evening. It might well be the sexiest garment I've ever made. I look hot! When it's finished I would like to wear it every day, except that it's a little too eccentric style even for my job and that I would stop traffic in it. The skirt is currently hanging so that the lining and outer fabric won't stretch differently when it's finished, but in a week or so the kirtle should be done and I can show you pictures.

Oh, and I'm lazy and can't be bothered to start working right now. Bleh.

Yay for stopping traffic :)
Well, you know my opinion on how you look, so I won't repeat it.

I probably shouldn't show it to you. At least not without a proper high-necked smock under ;)

You know that's the exact hair style I wear with my cotehardie and my venetian renaissance, don't you? Or rather would, if my hair was long enough.

Well, now that you mention it, yes. But it looks much better on you, probably because you have a longer face. It makes mine look very broad.
