I came up with another use for the thin black wool tabby: hose for my husband. It is cool and fairly stretchy so it will be perfect for summer hose. And it is opaque unless you hold it up against a lamp so it's not too thin. I might make new hose for myself from it too.

I've also managed to get some work done on my article on clothes for servants in the middle ages in Sweden. It might actually get done before christmas, which was my original plan. Tomorrow I'm going to discuss an earlier version with my professor. I'm a little nervous.

What are you going to use the article for?

"Historisk Tidskrift", the main scientific journal on history in Sweden, are having a theme issue on consumption next spring. This journal is where dissertations are rewived, where professors and doctors publish their articles and the like, so you see that it's really prestigious and I feel very small when I think of it. Of course other PhD-students publish thing there too, but it still feels strange.
