I have indeed updated my dress diary. I was too tired to go and watch football tonight so I decided to stay home, work on the web site and get some sewing done.

Nope, I haven't tried that. And I really haven't worn it either, just tried it on. Anyway, my hope is to loose another five kilos and then somecentimetres should disappear around my large rib cage too hopefully. My breasts should get smaller when I stop nursing in a year or so. Or at least I hope so, 80 G is not fun.

No, it's not. I feel quite overflowering in an E-cup. Finding a nice bra is something of a trial. Breast feeding didn't do anything to my size though, except for the first few weeks. I only nursed for nine month though- my son had his own ideas about it and turned to normal food as fast as he could.

I did have a G-cup before nursing too, but then I've lost 7-8 kilos or something like that, without losing anything on the breasts so I have this faint hope that it is breastfeeding that keeps them big even when I lose weight. Probably just a fantasy. Other people complain that the first they lose when they lose weight is their breasts. You know, that would be nice for a change.

PS. I finished the kirtle, except the sleeve holes yesterday. It looks really good.

Ah yes, it's the same for me. I seem to be able to loose weight everywhere, apart from tummy and breasts.

Oh, I can't wait to see pics! I don't want to start playing arounf with the pattern right now, so I'll strat with embroidery samples. I also thing that the sleevecaps on the gown will be a bit of a struggle to get right, so I think I'll tackle them soon too.

You're talking about the PoF-gown, aren't you? This dress is based on a portrait, but of course, the sleeves will be the same.

Yes I am. I'm going to try what I have never done before- going for copying it as far as I can. Just for fun. :-)

Exactly what I did. But now I feel that I should have doen it even more like the original, that is; found a silk woven with silver and made bobbin net from black and white silk instead of using tulle. Not that I can make bobbin lace, so I think it is taking it a little too far, but still.

Yes, some things will probably not be possible. Like the silk with silver and the net. But I plan to do the embroideries, and the appliques. And I'm mulling over a way to make the buttons. :-) I don't think I'll ever run out of things to do. Fortunately I don't have a time limit for this project, as I have nowhere to wear it. I just want it.
