I'm making a 16th century loose gown for Maja. It is soo pretty. I have now put in the hooks and eyes and sewn one row of "silvery" trim around the front edges and the hem and almost finished one side of the second row. It will have one row of trim running straight down the back and one from each shoulder joining it too. The inspiration is the young girl's gown on page 102 in Patterns of Fashion .
The sleeve mock up looks good so I will probably cut it from two layers of linen and one layer of wool tomorrow.

Awwwwww! That will be so cute - I've been contemplating making my little 'un a gown, but she's still growing so fast, my work wouldn't be justified since she'd be able to wear it such a short amount of time.

Maja is one year old. I hope she will be able to wear it all summer, but I'm not sure if that will be the case.
