Like [livejournal.com profile] sarahbellem I have resisted this long because I know so few of you IRL, but what she wrote about me made me very happy and I think happiness should be shared.

01. Reply with your name and I'll write something about you.
02. I'll then tell what songs/movies remind me of you.
03. I will try to name a single word that best describes you.
04. I'll tell you the most memorable moment I've had with you.
05. Then I'll tell you my silliest memory of you.
06. I will tell you what animal you remind me of.
07. I'll then tell you something that I've always wondered about you.
08. Put this in your journal.

2. Greensleeves. Not that I know if you have any green sleeves, but you are in my mind very connected to Tudor England.
3. I think Sarah said it first, but "ladylike".
4. Since our moments are very few I think just meeting you IRL and the absurdity of us, the way we looked, sitting waiting in the entrance of your job.
5. No silly moments yet, but there may still be.
6. A dove, more as a symbol than the actual bird's behaviour. Loving and calm.
7. I don't think it's sometime I've always wondered, but I know you sing and play music and I wonder about your training and if you still do it regularly.

Perhaps this isn't very fair to you, as we haven't known each other for long, but I can't resist; Elisa.

1. You have made me tempted to join Gustav's Skål, something I've never felt before.
2. For some reason: "La vie en rose" with Edith Piaf.
3.creative
4. I assume it will be if I get to Gunnebo and meet you in July.
5. Pass
6. A hedgehog, because somehow I got to think of mrs hedgehog in her c. 1800 outfit in the ballet version of Beatrix Potter's storiess that used to be shown around christmas on TV. I guess it's the chemise dress and that you're to round (in a good sense) to be a mouse.
7. How old are you?

I love Edith Piaf!

Oh, Mrs. Twiggle-winkle. I adored that movie when I was a kid.

I'm born in 1970, so 35.

hm, don't think i can resist this...

1. you are talented, intelligent and have very sound values. But I think you know that.
2. "Roman holiday". I don't know why, you don't look like Audrey, but you have that sence of style and elegance I think. As for music: falsobordone (http://www.falsobordone.com/engindex.htm), because when we first met you always hung out with Erik and Johan.
3. Accomplished. You know so many things and do them well.
4. It probably should be some medieval moment then, but you're not like that, you move silently into one's heart, not any special moment.
5. You? Silly? I think there may still be time to get a silly memory.
6. A swan, all grace and beauty.
7. I don't go around wondering things about you, but I'm rather interested in how you got to be where you are now. Your education and career. The answer will have to wait until we meet IRL I fear though, since it must be long.

you're just the sweetest!

a swan :)
yes i do like swans, they are graceful and pretty. however i personally find them quite scary and frightening! well, sincerely hope no one finds me as terrifying?

falsobordone. hm, "hung out with" is one way to word it...
totally and head to toes in love with is another i suppose, as innocently naive as only the very first love can ever be! ;)

and about my career: the begining of the story is short:
i was 16 and doing the last year's major research project in high school, on colourfastness' of vegetable dyes (yes, am born very late in the year and was one calendar year younger than the rest of my class, so i actually graduated when only 17). during this project i met up with a textile conservator and a conservation scientist. i realised that was what i wanted to dedicate my life to.
Now the long story begins, first 10 years of hard work and struggle to achieve the goal, further follows almost 5 years as a professional...

01. You are a strong woman who aren't afraid of making tough decision if that's what's needed for you to be true to yourself.
02. Since you are so much late 14th-early 15th century to me it has to be the Jeanne d'Arc-movie.
03. Transformation, or maybe growth.
04. We don't share any moments as such, but your dedication to historical authenticity, even when it's hard to get any understanding for it, is worth remembering.
05. I don't have any, but the cat and toy story was fun (note my elegant wording here).
06. An otter. I have no idea why, probably the dark colouring and a combination of playfulness and independence.
07. Why did you get so interested in guinea pigs?

Date: 2005-06-03 12:40 pm (UTC)

An otter! I love it! Thanks, I really enjoyed reading all of your answers.

And why guinea pigs... they have a ton of personality but you can have them in most 'pet restricted' apartments (since they live in cages). Plus I have a big interest in genetics, so someday I'd like to breed and show them (first I have to have appropriate living quarters).

Plus they are just so CUTE!

It took a couple of days, but now I finally got to you Marion.
01. You are one of the prettiest women I've seen. I would dye to have your colouring.
02. "Luther". For apparent reasons. And "Blues Brothers" just because of the Aretha-thing.
03. Grounded, as in stable and connected to the earth and your own feelings.
04. Haven't had any yet, but I enjoy reading about your battles for more autenthicity in the german costuming community.
05. Well, it was a little funny that all the time I took for granted your choir sang period music and then comes the Aretha story. It changed my idea of your singing profoundly.
06. A horse. One of the heavier german horses with lots of hair around their hoofs (yes, I'm very fond of them).
07. I'm waiting for you to start a family, any plans?

Family plans

From: [identity profile] mmcnealy.livejournal.com
Yes, we have plans, but timing is the big issue. I have a time when I think it would be convenient, and Matt would be very distracted and busy. We are still working things out, but probably we'll start trying this Fall. There's a little baby at church that made me realize how much I really want a little one. My priorities are changing a lot, which is good as having children was something I wanted, but was too busy for. Now, I'm starting to realize how fruitless work is, and how I'd much rather be investing my time in a family versus a job every day.

Somehow, this one slipped by me. I'd LOVE to have you "do" me.

01. You show that experience gives wisdom.
02. "California dreaming", probably due to your icon.
03. Mother.
04. I don't have any memorable moments, because we've never met, but I'm mightily impressed with your role in creating Drachenwald. it is strange to "meet" somebody who created part of your history.
05. The concept of Morien blue.
06. Bear. The totem animal of Artemis, who was not only a virgin godess like her roman counterpart Diana, but a mother and fertility goddess who protected children.
07. Why did you live in Europe?

::grin::

I love your answers.

7: I was an exchange student, studying art in Florence through the Smith College Junior Year Abroad program. Their program allows people to study one year at specific Universities around the world (primarily Europe) and get credit for those studies towards their degrees from their home colleges/universities. I took classes in art (etching and aquatint), art history, history, & Italian language and culture, iirc. It was many years ago. I'd dearly love to have the opportunity to come back on a tourist basis.
