Sheer beauty

I'm listening to Sonata in E major for violin by Thomas Augustine Arne . I wonder can there by any other music that is so beautiful in every aspect, every second, every single tone? If so, it's probably by Händel, but right now I cannot imagine anything more beautiful.
I'm leaving work now because I'm uninspired and my body hurts.

I'm going to say, for piano work, Ludovico Einaudi. "Echoes" is the album.

Violin and piano are two quite different beasts, but I can't help but stop and just enjoy every note of Einaudi's music.

I'm not really fond of piano music or 19th and 20th century "classical" music, there are exceptions of course, but in general I think the best classical music was made before 1800. I love, love, love baroque music.

think i share your prefernce for the baroque, so i say händels recorder sonatas or bachs brandenburger concerto as i am very much in love with alto recorders and cello's.
(... always dreamed about having a cello playing boyfriend! hm, coming to think about that, i suppose i've now tried bagpipes, clarinet, trumpetx2 and flutex2. ooops, seems i got stuck in the wood wind or brass sections? ;)

and the cherry tree choir section in madama butterfly
(no idea what it is called, but i think springtime japanese cherry trees in blossom when i hear it)

and there's also the otherwordly recorder parts from the film music from schindler's list that always makes me cry...

john zorn is pretty kick ass too. But I do love me some Hndel's water music. Oh also the opera Lakme.
