I realize that it can't be terribly interesting to look at different variations of early 14th century garb, since it's very simple (but beautiful), but I did make a page for my murrey wool cotte too. The main justification is that I plan to make a whole ensemble in this fabric, based on Isabella Bruce' trousseau when she went to Norway to marry king Erik Magnusson in 1293. Another is to show the variety and beauty of this style.
As a bonus you get to see one of my breasts too :)

I am currently taking a break from the st. Clare cotte and making a new renaissance dress in green wool for Maja. Hand sewn as seems to be the rule these days.

It's lovely! I wish I could get wool like that. Was it bought in that color, or did you dye it yourself?

Oh no, no dyeing for me. Or at least not if I can avoid it. I bought 17 metres of it, since it was less then 3$/metre, because it is a bit unevelnly dyed. Nothing that you notice unless you look for it really, but it's a bit darker in places. I have made a Maciejowski cotte for Rickard, a mundane skirt and a pair of stockings of it already but the remaining 9 metres will be used for the "robam", that is complete outfit, which is to be made of a cotte a surcoat without sleeves, a surcoat with sleeves, a cloak and a hood. Since I can't get lots of dead squirrels to line it with it will be lined either in silk or in linen, both documented. One of her outfits is lined with sindon fortis, which S.M. Newton says is a fabric of hemp or cotton, but I have no idea how that would have looked and I don't want to line the outfit in cotton broadcloth :)
