I went down to the university library (it's in an adjacent building connected by a small tunnel) to get a book from the open shelves. When I'm down there I always look around in the "art"-section and see if I find anything else interesting. Today's finds are:

Snodin, Michael and Styles, John:Design and the decorative arts. Britain 1500-1900 A huge book that looks very promising. Too heavy for me to carry home though, I will have to ask Rickard for help.
Dräktbruk och linnetradition i dalsocknarna Svärdsjö och Enviken (about folk costumes and linen in Dalecarlia, Sweden), edited by Hasnis Eva Nicklasson, Hams Ulla Danielsson and Hans Matsols
Textiles revealed. Object lessons in historical textile and costume researchedited by Mary. M. Brooks. This is a very good book that I recommend everybody to read. It discusses methodological as well as theoretical approaches in object based research.

PS. I got my own Pride and Prejudice DVD yesterday so now I can watch it whenever I want. Like tonight. (not the whole 8 hours though) I cut out two pairs of thin wool hose for Rickard yesterday so I have something to sew while watching.

I always start watching the second part, where Lizzy has just turned down Mr. Darcy. Somehow I always feel too embarrassed to watch the first part specially because of Lydia. I'm too sensitive!
