wedding ring scare

I just found that my wedding ring was missing! I knew I had worn it when I left work but now it wasn't on my finger. I checked in the bathroom first, to see if I had taken it off while rinsing Maja's diaper, which I never do, but it could have been an exception. Then I looked in the cupboard with trims, ribbons etc. which I had been searching for some gold trim (that I couldn't find) and there, in one drawer it was. It had fallen off my finger without me noticing! It has definitely gotten too big for me. I wonder if one could go to a goldsmith and make it smaller. I assume that if they could it would ruin the engraving, but I really have to check, because this is making me nervous.

Maybe get a smaller ring to wear outside it? At least until you know what size you'll end up with. I think my aunt changed her rings several times before she realised her fingers are bigger in the summer...
