No water

The water is cut at the university today and nobody seems to know when it's going to come back. I want tea, I need tea! I can't work without tea.
Other news is that yesterday I made a short, flared skirt in navy wool with an almost invisible pinstripe in light blue and red. It ends above my knee, which feels odd. That length is supposed to make your legs look longer if you have short legs, which I have and presumably it's working, because I think I look all wrong-proportioned when I look in a mirror.

Woe!

No tea! The horror. I hope you get your tea soon. I can't work without my tea either.

The water's back. It looked awfully brown and rusty, but I made tea anyway. I made it so strong I wouldn't be able to feel any other taste.

Sounds like a cute skirt.

Glad to hear that you have your tea making capabilities back. *grin*

Life without tea would be hard.

I personally think "just above the knee" is a very flattering length on a skirt. If it's not long.

Longer legs? Hmm... I've always just felt that short skirts emphasise my... er... generous posterior too much. Is it flared all the way or just at the hem?

Eh, yes they do that too, there are always exceptions to the rules. For example you shouldn't wear short skirts if you have heavy legs.
But I don't recall that you have proportionally short legs? It's all about body proportion, not about actual length.
