The sweet [livejournal.com profile] mmcnealy had sent me some comments on my paper when I arrived at work this morning. So now I can just send it to the conference organizers. If anybody wants to read it, it's here. That is the unchanged version (I can't work on my web page from work, which I generally think is a good idea), but the changes weren't very big.

I would love to have made comments but my grammar is pretty appalling;) There were a few things I picked up, but they will no doubt already be covered;)

Very interesting, and definitely a topic few people understand. At least those involved with popular culture and costuming associated with it.

Cool paper! I'm almost done reading, but need to go now. It explains the unisex look a lot better than I could find a reason for.

I noticed a neckline difference between male and female in the images and Herjolfsnes patterns. Is that common? Is it relevant?
