My presentation went really well and it was a really good conference. Not much about costume though, mostly about different scientific methods to get more information from the body. Since I don't know much about those things it was fun.
Else Ostergaard, who's working on the Greenland (Herjolfsnes)finds was there too and told me that the new book on them is currently being printed! Hooray! Been waiting for that one!

Nothing to watch on TV and I have to be up at five, maybe I should pack and go to bed.

Not really, the english version is due in November, that's all I know. Else's presentation at the seminar was more geared towards people who know little or nothing about medieval clothes, so I didn't learn anything new. Apparently she has done a new evaluation of which clothes were male and which were female, based on the assumption that the centre gore should go higher up on womens' dresses to easier accomodate a pregnant belly. It will be interesting anyway, apparently there will be analysis of the seams and other things which are not discussed in "Buried Norsemen at Herjolfsnes", Norlund's book from 1924.

Thanks. If I remember long enough I'll do a search for it after November
