frualeydisI took out my dark green 13th c. sleeved surcoat to start on the remake and realized two things:
1. There isn't enough fabric to make proper sleeves. The sleeves were too short to begin with.
2. It looks damn good as it is.
So now I have to figure out some other fabric I can use for this project. The only wool I have enough of is too light in the colour.
I could also start on an upper class tudor, but that wasn't what I had planned and I have a hard time adjusting to the new circumstances. I wonder if I have enough of my navy wool, but that's very thin and would need to be lined and I don't know if I have enough wool for the lining.
Bah! I hate it when things don't go according to plan.
