Talking about Tudor

I found this lovely picture at De Koninklijke Bibliotheek. You have to go "list of KB resources" and then to medieval manuscripts and then either to manuscript KB, 133 D 11 or go to highlights were it is in the section with pictures of the labours of the months. It's picture 5. She has sleeves that are lined either with black damask or black patterned velvet! Isn't that cool?

It could very well be patterned velvet. Good luck in trying to find patterned/cut/voided velvet now!!!!!

Fudge, I can't see it. Do you have any details so I can go hunt for it? I tried in both IE and Firefox.

In the book of illuminations I saw the other week, there were some lovely ones of Anne of Brittany and her ladies. Some had gold brocade lined sleeves. Anne even had a split skirt in one.

I'm so annoyed, I keep getting 500 errors, which means the site is doing flakey things for me. I love the manuscripts here, but it's so frustrating nopt being able to look at them.

I have just had a little luck with goign to the highlights though..
