Smart idea
Dec. 5th, 2003 09:30 amYesterday I got the bright idea that instead of ironing 8 m of linen after washing it, I would use the mangle. You smart people have probably already thought of this, but why I haven't is a mystery. I mean, you mangle linen table cloths, why not fabric? It saves an immense lot of time and effort. You get rather sharp creases where the fabric is folded to fit into the mangle, but on the other hand it gets very smooth and shiny. In almost no time at all. Of course I will iron the pieces after cutting them, to get rid of eventual creases, but this is just in preparation for cutting.
