Aaargh!!

I hate, hate, hate the people cleaning the yard outside from leaves!
Maja has woken 5 times this night so naturally I haven't gotten my six hours of sleep and desperately need to sleep more. But outside there are two men using machines blowing leaves together and it makes an awful noise that makes it really impossible to sleep.
And I really need to be awake and sharp today because tonight Nylöse (my medieval group) will have a special sewing meeting at my place, where we are going to cut 13th century spanish clothes (there's another garment here) for the ladies. In two weeks we will do the same for the men. You see, in the summer we will have a themed party with 13th century spanish clothes, music (Cantigas de Santa Maria), games and food.

boning

I have now sewn all the boning channels and bound the lower edge of the corset with white satin bias tape. My husband is being wonderful and cutting the boning.

Falling over

The meeting was really good although nobody cut any fabric. I also got to try on the corset with an expert at hand, Julia who studies theatre costuming. It looks very right but it hurts my back to bend it like that. I've also noticed that while Katherine's version of the same corset makes it look likes she's leaning against a very strong wind my version makes it look like gravity's finally won and my bust makes me tip over.
